piracy and copyright in communitys and the world

Piracy is also a HUGE problem in community’s to local game shops local DVD shops and local cd shops as people download music movies and games off of the internet and this puts small businesses out of business and even some big businesses can lose all customers.
Copyright also is a problem but the counter measures are an even bigger risk to internet users Take SOPA for example SOPA stands for Stop.Online.Piracy.Act is a United States bill introduced by U.S. Representative Lamar S. Smith (R-TX) to expand the ability of U.S. law enforcement to fight online trafficking in copyrighted intellectual property and counterfeit goods. Provisions include the requesting of court orders to bar advertising networks and payment facilities from conducting business with infringing websites, and search engines from linking to the sites, and court orders requiring Internet service providers to block access to the sites. The law would expand existing criminal laws to include unauthorized streaming of copyrighted content, imposing a maximum penalty of five years in prison. A similar bill in the U.S. Senate is titled the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA).
Copyright also is something that most people do every day without thinking about downloading movies is illegal but people still do it you would steal from a shop but the punishment for downloading is higher that stealing!!!!!!! So the moral is steal don’t download stuff ;)

The effects of I.T in communitys

I.T has changed everything in local communities it makes it easier for people for people to find jobs online so it makes jobs but it also makes people lazier as people spend all day on Facebook Xbox and other I.T related devises just sitting around doing nothing causing obesity and other health problems.
I.T has also affected local businesses as you can now buy all of your needs online at the shops website or to buy clothes you could do the same with clothes and food this is bad for local companies as it could put them out of business as no one would need to go to the shop to buy the stuff.
